Who We Are

Groundwork Creswell, Ashfield and Mansfield is dedicated to helping generate and sustain vibrant, healthy and safe communities.

Working in partnership with local groups, individuals, businesses, local authorities and regional agencies, we help people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, to build skills and job prospects, and to live and work in a greener way.

Our projects and services focus on the important issues in each community – from regeneration and the environment to education and employment – and are designed to benefit both people and the wider environment.

We are known as an organisation that can make a real difference in the areas we operate, which include:

• supporting local skills and enterprise;
• providing young people with something to do and somewhere to go;
• promoting health and wellbeing;
• delivering environmental improvements that create cleaner, safer, greener neighbourhoods;
• reducing carbon emissions and tackling climate change.

We operate across an area spanning three counties, Nottinghamshire, North East Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, and work on dozens of individual projects each year, focussing our activity on disadvantaged communities where we can make most difference.
