Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire are offering three Level 1 units from January 2012 in Brickwork.
Each unit is 30 hours guided learning and will take a student 12 weeks to achieve.The units are all - Level 1 Award in Skills Towards Enabling Progression (Step-UP) (QCF)
Cost: £37 per learner per day + accreditation registration if appropriate.

Construction
A programme of activities for young people interested in developing construction skills and/or entering the construction industry. The programme includes health and safety and basic skills. These courses operate out of our city centre base on Abbey Street by tutors who are all industry trained.
Staffing, Governance and quality assurance
All staff are subject to an enhanced CRB check and receive regular training in minimum standards for working with Children and Young People.
We have policies and procedures in place for Risk Assessment and Safeguarding which are regularly reviewed and updated and are available to our partners on request.
All activities organised and delivered by our staff are covered by Public Liability Insurance.
Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire is a Company limited by Guarantee and a registered charity with the Charities Commission and has been in permanent operation since 1988.
All accreditations are delivered by appropriately qualified staff and are both internally and externally moderated by the awarding bodies. Most accreditations are on the QCA framework.
All students will be required to complete registration forms and will be subject to any recording, attendance and monitoring required. We request that staff be supplied with details about any individual learning in place and any information about any additional needs and areas of concern to be made explicit for student so that learning can be targeted effectively.
