Facts and Figures

Here are some facts and figures to show Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire’s impact in your neighbourhood during 2011/12:

We planted 1,240 trees, improved 550,000 sq metres of land and maintained 733,400 sq metres of land.
In person days, we actively involved 1,920 young people, 3,083 adults and 8 partners in projects.
24 schools were involved with Groundwork providing Education for Sustainable Development.
Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire has worked with 30 businesses. There were 12 new jobs created and 31 safeguarded.
Our mission to avoid and reduce CO₂ emissions resulted in 47 tonnes saved and 10 tonnes of waste diverted from local landfill sites.
