Our Vision: Inspiring People, Inspiring Places

We work towards our vision – that aims to inspire people to their own communities and provide inspirational places  - of a society of sustainable communities which are vibrant, healthy and safe, which respect the local and global environment and where individuals and enterprise prosper.

Creating those sustainable communities means developing initiatives which cut across economics, social issues and the environment. Our work is diverse, but all of it helps to achieve our vision.

To achieve our vision, we are working towards the following objectives by March 31 2011:

  • Make an increasingly significant impact as a key player in the sub-region.
  • Be effective in tackling the challenging issues facing the most deprived communities in Greater Nottingham.
  • Be accepted as the regional flagship trust by Groundwork UK and its national and regional partners and be regarded as the deliverer of choice for key local partners.
  • Be an exemplar of best practice across all its work areas.
  • Build effectively upon current activity to offer a coherent package of support to communities and business.

We know we’ll never achieve our vision without working together with passionate individuals, proactive public services and innovative parts of the private sector.
