Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire works with community groups to make changes to local places across the country. Often where we work depends on funding and our capacity, but it is always worth contacting us to see what we can do in your area. Work we carry out includes things like:
We support and manage a variety of green spaces including nature reserves, allotments, orchards, woodland, ponds and parks. Many of these sites have been transformed following work with Local Authorities and communities and they are a valuable resource for education and enjoyment.
We administrate a local charity, LIFE, which relies on donations to turn capital into funds for environmental projects run by local groups. Find out more about LIFE and how to donate or apply for grants here
We are supported by a brilliant team of Conservation Volunteers who include people of all ages and fitness levels that help with a wide range of conservation tasks. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please click here
