Location: Babington Community College, Strasbourg Drive, Beaumont Leys, Leicester. Babington Community College is part of the EMAS in schools programme and are currently developing their woodlands into a teaching resource.
Location: Babington Community Technology College, Strasbourg Drive, Leicester. 2010 was a very successful year of environmental action at Babington Community Technology College. The student lead EMAS Council have worked closely with Groundwork EMAS Education Officers to deliver a variety of campaigns and projects making the school more sustainable. This work culminated during the summer term with a “Green Day”
Location: EcoHouse, 459 Hinckley Road, Leicester. Staff from Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire’s Future Jobs Fund scheme have rebuilt the EcoHouse play area using locally sourced timber.
Location: Overdale Junior School, Eastcourt Road, Leicester. “The Action Earth funding pots open early every winter, it is an excellent opportunity for schools to raise small amounts towards projects that can really make a difference.” Robert Stewart, EMAS Officer

Location: Martin Shaw Woods, Leicestershire 30 pupils from Avenue Primary School gain an understanding of environmental sustainability and respect for the natural environment through exploring local woodlands
Location: Goodwood Allotments Work undertaken by long-term unemployed young people under the Future Jobs Fund (FJF) transforms derelict allotments into a readily workable space for the local community.
Location: New Parks Youth Centre Youths from the New Parks Club for Young People engage with sustainable transport and develop teamwork skills via a team bike ride.
Location: Western Park, Hinckley Road, Leicester Groundwork conservation officers and Future Jobs Fund staff renew a Western Park spinney making it a better place for all.
