Improving Open Spaces

Building steps

Our teams of environmentalists, educationalists and project officers work with people to create or improve community gardens, parks, footpaths and natural spaces.

Our dedicated Conservation team is tasked with protecting green spaces and biodiversity and engaging the community to create outdoor space they can use and enjoy.

We have successful schemes that preserve wildlife in parks, woodlands and nature reserves, and we actively encourage people to appreciate these spaces. Our conservation work creates opportunities for employment and volunteering.

Our activity programme also puts disused land back to green use, including tree planting and food growing on allotments.
