Who We Are

Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire helps people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, to build skills and job prospects, and to live and work in a greener way.

Our innovative approach creates opportunities for community participation, youth inclusion, and training and employment which make a big difference to local people. Partnership is at the heart of all we do and we connect  Government bodies, businesses and local communities to get everyone working together and involved in taking positive action for the future.

We were instrumental in helping Leicester to become Britain’s first Environment City and we run several of our professional services as social enterprises with all profits put back into our charity and spent on more projects and services that benefit both people and the wider environment.

We operate across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and work on dozens of individual projects each year. We focus our activity on disadvantaged communities where we can make most difference.
