Dozens of trees have been planted in Netherseal to give a royal seal of approval to the 60-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II, with youngsters from St Peter's Primary School amongst those who took part - helping to plant over seventy new trees.

Five unemployed young people, aged 16 – 19, have found academic success on a new practical construction course. Offered by Groundwork Creswell, Ashfield & Mansfield, the course is aimed young people not in education, employment or training (NEET). They are typically from disadvantaged areas where opportunities for employment are lacking.
